Fifcity is a freeware, cross-platform app, inspired by the 15-minute city concept
and aims to foster the feeling of community with sustainable living globally. With
Fificity, users have the option of selecting a radius of 5/7/11 kilometres as their
home or guest community which will make amenities more visible and accessible
to the residents, helping them to avoid unnecessary travel and also reducing
carbon emissions.
If the desired amenity is unavailable within the set radius selected by the
community member, the app will display the nearest one. The apps distinctive
feature will engage residents (within the neighbourhood) through a variety of
activities and chat rooms, offering a comprehensive engaging, and enjoyable
platform for the community. The application will allow like-minded neighbours to
engage in cooperative, innovative, knowledge-building, or simply enjoyable
activities.
Additionally, the app will serve as a platform for community members to
exchange goods and services such as selling used items and giving paid or free
services such as tuition, coaching, gardening, and cooking.
Fifcity is providing individuals with the option of walking to the shop or movie, an
opportunity to reconnect with their neighbours, share and care, and a chance for
parents to feel safe sending their children out to play. A chance for people to
